There might still be a few months to wait for what is looking like the biggest edition of Nostromo Festival to date. But that doesn’t mean you have to sit there twiddling your thumbs. The annual French showcase of fine minimal talent doesn’t remain confined to the walls of the Chateau.

Following a standout session in 2022, Nostromo’s Strange New Worlds event series was born. A tour de Europe, taking the sounds on the road to underground hotspots on the continent.

It started with an 11 hour session at K4 Club in Ljubljana, Slovenia. A bunch of French favourites joined, including Sweely, Dawidu, Dewi, Felix Dulac and Solal Reyes alongside club resident Masa. Next up was a colab with Lyon’s Everybody Trance party at the end of March and fast approaching are the final two in the sequence.

First up is a flutter back to France on 13th May, where the Nostromo crew team up with Bordeaux’s electronic hub IBOAT. Boarding the ferry for a night of the underground, antics will be led by two names only. Anthea, a dynamic artist who has continued to be at the forefront as flavours change with time. She is joined on a solely female lineup by French Brazilian Flo Masse.

A week later, inaugural event space Shelter becomes the next host for this intergalactic journey into the depths of the dance floor. The Amsterdam club, coined ‘the basement of beats’, is well used to bringing in the creme de la creme. Heading up the roster, Christian AB will be flying in from Berlin with a big bag of wax. An undisputed selector, sharing the steering wheel with OMAR, an equally revered record specialist. Lumbago and Alexia Glensy take the warm up, an exploration of sound ready to get well under way.

Tickets can be bought for both events here.
