We’re now over half way into the countdown from one Dimensions to the next. And the news just keeps coming in. With less than six months to go until this year’s edition of Croatia’s finest electronic music festival, the finer details are reaching the surface. One of the most anticipated components of the five day festival takes shape out on the water. Lineups for the boat parties are in and as per usual, they are looking most excellent.
The boats are barely docked from Friday through Monday, save a day of rest on the shores on Sunday. This is the first time several trips run in parallel, with a mammoth six parties planned per day. Each of which are set to be captained by a bunch of acclaimed hosts. Between label collectives, online institutions and artist own curations, eighteen events are offered. And from one to the next, appetites are well and truly wetted across all corners. Time is of the essence, with the first release of tickets set to land at 5pm today, for ticket holders only. They will then go on sale publicly tomorrow from 10am – so you best get picking pronto.
Over 50 artists pack an agenda led by 16 crews. It’s hard to pick highlights because it all just looks so damn good. Friday’s choices feature Resident Advisor, Love Triangle, Picnic, Global Swing, Slow Life and Dimensions Presents. Each session runs for three hours, spanning selectors Vlada, Shanti Celeste, Peach, Giammarco Orsini, Harry McCanna, Prosumer, Laurine & Cecilio, Junki Inoue, DJ Masda and a bunch more. Whether it’s a liquid lunch, serene sunset or a ride into the night, the schedule offers unforgettable moments over a span of 12 hours.
Saturday is all go again, featuring Ba Dum Tish, Cartulis, Limousine Dream, 10 Years of Dungeon Meat, MARICAS and as always the beloved Alex T’s Tribe Boat. Sessions will include sets from the likes of Dr Banana b2b Alec Falconer, Merlina Serser b2b Raphael Carrau, Sonja Moonear b2b Gene On Earth, Dunegon Meat, ISAbella, Adam Pits b2b Lora Mipsum and the rest. This is scheduling at its finest – so much good to choose from might be difficult, but all can be expected to be bang on.
The final day of boat parties takes place on Monday, closing out the festival with serious style. tINI & The Gang, Dimensions Presents, 10 Years of RA+RE, 10 Years Of Spaced, Timedance and LuckisOn will all play their part. At the helm, tINI, Liquid Earth, DJ Stringray 313, Anthea, Lola Haro, Velasco, Batu, Sweely and Sibil. Some of these names you’ll well recognise as captain of the ship at previous editions, but this year there really is a whole lot more. Debuts are plentiful and the company is kept right.
Shenanigans will be made all the more special for the boat party partners celebrating their own milestones. What is yet to be announced is the Secret Island Party set to take place on Sunday, the coordinates of which mark a brand new location for the momentous ending. You’ll have to wait a bit longer for that news piece, but for now we think you’ve got plenty to be pondering over.
