Barcelona has always been a clubbing hotspot for house and techno but right now it seems to be hotter than ever. For the next big party to hit the city Breathdeep and Chez Doc hook up to present a headline set from Yoyaku main man Janeret on Saturday, December 11th at Atlantic Club.
Breathedeep have been ingrained in the cities’ nightlife since 2019 and have been delivering extended events that collect together creatives from across Barcelona and further afield. Not just focused on music their gatherings feature art, fashion, food and of course a deep dive take on underground electronic music. Past events have seen Outright Records artist Vitess play a live set and a great collaboration with MTM that featured Ferro, Tania Vulcano and 2Vilas.
As well as the production that goes into their events the strength of Breathedeep is the crew behind the events. The cultural crew that takes on the moniker of Breathedeep Crew is populated by a close knit of DJ’s producers and visual artists that club together to offer a multi layered approach to their performances.
For this special event Breathedeep will be joining forces with Chez Doc and like this collective they too have serious connections to Barcelona’s underground as well as other worldwide hotspots. As well as their own events, they have linked with like-minded crews in Milan, Miami, and of course their home turf.
This event is of course all about visiting French ambassador from Yoyaku Janeret but there is a double celebration as Chez Doc will also be raising a glass to the newly minted imprint of the same name. CHZDC001 features two wicked cuts from label head Vikk on ‘Acid Blitz’ and Monile on ‘Who Am I’. The EP gives a snapshot of the sort of sonic sorcery you can expect at this event with both tracks offering grooves galore, bumpy basslines and lush electronics.
Support over the course of the event will come via Chez Doc head man Vikk, Hypnotic School duo Rafael Delgado B2B Rod J, IdayVuelta, and of course Breathdeep crew. If you are in the city then this extended session is highly recommended as it takes place at one of the city’s newest venues Atlantic Club. From the same group as Amnesia Ibiza and Cova Santa this stunning club will be the site of a 12-hour feast of everything that makes Barcelona such an exciting cultural hub.
