Antwerp has long enjoyed a love affair with electronic music and one club that has been at the very heart of this historic city’s underground music scene is Ampere. Another longstanding love affair AMpere has is that of Romanian trio ARPIAR, and the relationship with these pillars of our scene stretches back nearly as long as the club’s history. Visiting the club on a yearly basis as far back as 2017, the joint forces of Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, and Raresh are set to touch down in Belgium once again on Saturday, December 28th.
We don’t need to explain who ARPIAR are and how influential they are, but their continued impact on electronic music can never be underestimated or undervalued. With their feet planted firmly in the minimal roots of their country, they weave in and out of sub-genres with such ease it is hard to tell where one track begins and the next ends. As well as the out-of-this-world music that has become standard for this crew, one thing that cannot be replicated is the aura that surrounds their every move. These understated superstars do not play it safe and with every calculated risk produce moments of sheer musical magic that leave even the most seasoned raver wide-eyed.
ARPIAR create memories from each of their performances that live long in the minds of those are lucky enough to people to be present and all this from just their music. However, what makes a good night great is when all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. One such piece that makes an ARPIAR night a great one is when they arrive their resident visualist DREAMREC in toe. His auditory creations coupled with APRIAR’s musical performances is truly a mind-bending experience. Add to that the rather special surroundings of Ampere and you have an open-ended night of epic proportions.
