With France having so many luminaries in the electronic music world, Automatic Writing had taken their place some time ago. The trio of artists that comprises Guillermo Jamas, Jacan and Darween have been a constant source of inspiration through their label output, expansive events, and immersive DJ sets. Their approach to groovy house music spans as many sub genres as you can imagine, but the result is always the same – a packed sweaty dancefloor.
With there being three moving parts to Automatic Writing it is impossible to tell given the synergy between them. Each bringing different energies and skills to the table, they move as one behind the decks with the vibe never dropping below that of a fantastic boil. Recorded live at this year’s Paname All Starz Festival, their mix for our podcast series is a tour de force through the various styles that all have their place in the combined Automatic Writing record bag. Punchy drums, bounding basslines, swagger heavy vocals all intertwine to form a snapshot of what has elevated AT to become one of the most enthralling acts on the circuit.
