Argentinian artist Glasidum returns to Leitmotiv Records, this time with an EP all of his own design. For the occasion he is joined by iO Mulen, who is on remix duties.
First of all we take aim at title track from Glasidum “Argbra” and the original offers that Latin American energy from the first batch of beats. The Argentinian stabs in some great vibes with his synths and this is supported by the skipping percussion and bump bassline. iO Mulen takes this theme and swaps in some great breakbeats and neat vocal snips to the mix. Remaining faithful to the original, iO Mulen soon works more unique elements such as additional synth work and some sumptuous break downs.
Completing side A we have “Risky” and the blocky bassline protrudes out of the mix as a timely reminder that Glasidum is here to do business. The stripped back beats soon given way to a mesmerising array of synthy moods. This back and forth between groove and lighter moments gives just the right contrast that the dancefloor will thank you for. Completing side B is “Petrified” and this will have the party locked in thanks to the elongated 303 line, heavy hitting grooves, and bounding bassline.
