After their stunning start, Endless Rotation return with another groove-packed release. This time around they have employed the talents of Canary Island resident Lowwwaxx. Also known under his own name of Carlos Sanchez he has crafted two original cuts and a third addition to the EP includes a hot remix from Canadian groove master Paolo Rocco.
It is this remix of ‘Brittle’ from Paolo where we pick up the release. When it comes to this version of the track it is anything but brittle. Where the original etches out a hollow, pensive ghostly outline Paolo turns the track on its head and colours over those lines with a phat rounded bassline. Lowwaxx’s original crater deep bass tones are strung together in the remix to form a full bass picture that propels the track onwards. The elements from the original are used sparingly in the remix too and feature on a handful of the more atmospheric parts and the result is a sleek roller that really bumps. This version is also a great contrast to the original version too as the whirring sound FX and the spatial mix is really something special and a very different vibe from Paolo’s re-rub.
Offering an even more different vibe from the previous two tracks is B2 micro weapon ‘Glide’. The beats may be about as minimal and glitch as they come but the sound design here is unreal. Lowwaxx’s ability to place such busy sound elements and pan them around the track is something else. As you will have guessed this is, without doubt, a calling card of Lowwaxx, and this is a fine example of the talented producers’ skills. You can be sure that you will be hearing all about his next release shortly.
