There is definitely some interesting shroud of mystery around all those “unknown artist” releases. Especially, if you like the tracks on these records, but, to be honest, it really works even before you press play. Today we’re having one more example, and, although I already know, who’s hiding under this new alias, I made a promise not to tell it and would like to keep it. So, we’re going to play the game of pretending for a bit. Let’s go.
The record was presented as “probably a deadstock” and visually it really feels like a blast from the 90s. Stickered white label and zero information about label or artist if you google it. The sound only raised my suspicions here, because it’s that type of music that could be equally some digger’s nugget from years ago or some producing from 2021. An edge of dark house and light trance.
So, our today’s premiere is definitely the most powerful track in this release. “External Force Limit (808 Mix)” is its name and A1 is its position. Powerful bassline, two catchy melodies at once and the mood, that will suit bigrooms and smallrooms equally well. You can easily imagine any of your favorite DJs playing this. A very versatile one.
“Ethernal Zeitgeist” is a nice follow-up on the a-side. A stomper with the same energy as the previous track on the side, maybe somebody is going to like it, even more, to be honest. “Blurry” is perfect for after-hours and “Drop Delivery (Ethno Mix)” is bringing us back to the peak time in its second part. Zero nonsense, only tracks for record bags.
The record can be found exclusively on Viniil. At least, for now. You know, what to do.
