After kicking off their hors-série with Ukrainian artist Yaroslav M, Chat Noir returns with a new 4-tracker from Razhden, the Georgian co-founder of Domain label. Expect a blend of styles, each track offering a unique vibe.
“Yeli Mtkiva” wastes no time, launching with a heavy electro-house buzz that starts just after the first kick and haunts you till the end — aside from a brief pause in the middle. And I mean “haunt” because the atmosphere evokes memories of legendary sets from Nicolas Lutz or Quest.
“Triponfish” follows with a slightly lighter tone, but the eerie, haunting vibe is intensified. “Derealize” opens the B-side, initially presenting itself as a lighter track, but don’t be fooled — it soon reveals itself as another gritty, grime-infused banger. Closing the release is “Story About The Murderer” (what a name!). It delivers the same eerie mood and suspense present throughout the EP, and the use of vocals here is a perfect fit.
If Halloween vibes appeal to you during Christmas or New Year, you’re in luck. Juno, Deejay, and Decks have you covered.
