Alich has just launched his label DiskCard, delivering a 5-track EP packed with crunchy, electro-house goodness.
The main track, “Pay Digital Play Analog,” is a slow roller with all the electro-house elements we’ve been loving recently. As I said above – maximum crunching. Full of buzzing basslines and overcompressed textures reminiscent of the Ed Banger era. Just imagine hearing something like this 7-8 years ago.
“Credit Limit Exceeded” carries forward the vibe but dials it back slightly, introducing almost 8-bit sounds that feel like a soundtrack for a 90s arcade. When the melody kicks in, the nostalgia is undeniable. “Automated Funk Machine” shifts into a calmer, rominimal-inspired groove, while “Free Jazz (Pay For It)” adds a playful touch with swinging rhythms and light vocal samples. Finally, “Automated Funk Machine (Eco Crisis Mix)” wraps things up, serving as a perfect outro track. Interestingly, it would also work brilliantly as an intro for your set, setting a groovy, atmospheric tone.
Help kick off DiskCard by grabbing your copy from Juno, Deejay, or Decks. It looks like the label’s start is very promising.
