Sueezo, one of the key figures of the Valencian underground scene, releases his fifth EP under his CDSZ trademark, after a series of carefully handcrafted vinyl records sealed with wax stamps as a final touch of class.
The Spanish artist is no stranger to sound exploration, both in and out of his studio. With several productions in his repertoire and constant gigs across Europe, the resident DJ and co-owner of Club Oven has shaped and built his own dubby and spacey sound over the years.
As with previous releases in the series, there are three featured tracks that we’re eager to reveal and discover, as they’re undoubtedly just as good and catchy as the earlier ones.
Just as we learned through recent world events, sometimes the second place can come first, at least in terms of focus and attention, hence our chosen premiere is “Laser Orchestra”, the second one in the album. The track begins decisively with a metallic bass line accompanied by subtle echoes, followed by sporadic space kicks that blend smoothly with the track’s linearity. A little dark, a little playful, it has everything you need for a night of pure bliss.
Moving to the first one on the release, we have the EP’s title track – Mindspeak. And speaking of the mind, this one’s quite the kind that drives you into a state of thoughtfulness and contemplation, through its hypnotic charm due to its ingenious blend of celestial and tribal notes.
Fever Chronicles, the third and final track of the EP has a captivating and mysterious allure with rhythmic pads and melodic synths. A genuine mood booster that can intensify a dancefloor’s atmosphere.
