Resuming an immense release schedule with ten vinyl releases in the past twelve months, alongside a string of digital outputs, long time Mono_cult resident Ray Mono provides two slick cuts for the inaugural release of new UK label Detic Recordings.
After forming a close relationship over in Ibiza, Dan Black and Tom Robinson of Unsung Collective formed the imprint, inviting friends and associates to showcase the UK flavours of the label.
The premiered track ‘Time Flies’ spans warm, dubby textures pinned by neat percussion. A moreish bassline leads the track, complemented by snappy snares and clever call and response melodies, shimmering above the low end.
Lucid pads seep into the mix, introducing a subtle breakdown before propelling into peak-time energy. Ray Mono continues a stacked schedule with future releases planned for META, PIV and Eastenderz.
