Premiere: B1 – Vid – Depths Of Imagination [AVI01]

Creep into the depths of imagination with Vid.

Coming from the heart of Romania, ‘The Only Way Is Up’ marks the start of a new venture from one of the nations longest serving, most-loved clubs in Avi-Cola.

Invited to supply the inaugural release, regular feature at Avi, Vid, sets a moody tone in his latest export. Patient, psychedelic minimal the Romanian creative is best known for takes centre stage in this immersive EP.

An assuring, driving bassline carries the A1. Exquisite percussive elements work seamlessly in the typical mystical manner of much of the hypnotic, Romanian output.

Dusty piano samples glisten in the rear of the featured ‘Depths of Imagination’, sprinkling an idyllic level of consonance amongst an array of fragile, dissonant atmospheres. Elegant exhaling samples caress the rhythm, with short melodies dancing beneath the kick, gently falling and resurfacing in the mix.

The meticulous and mindful adjustments to the arrangement make this 11 minute mind trip feel transient.
