It was almost 5 years since iO (Mulen)’s Mulen Records released non-iO (Mulen)’s music. After Sweely, one album and one release of Sasha’s own music, the label can proudly present the six-pack of Prince De Takicardie.
“Thunderwave” was the owner’s choice, must say. But that’s one of those times when you just blindly trust the guy. Imagine the raviest rave of the 90s, with some spooky vibe of Halloween and production that will drive you into every mysterious way you wouldn’t think of. That’s it. That’s the track.
“Don’t Believe The Hype” is my favorite here, I must point out also. The pace of PDT, along with his production, it will be the fastest 5 minutes of your life. But “Carnivorus” is definitely not lighter, sometimes maybe even more interesting.
Coming to the “lighter” A-side. It starts with “La Bomba” – short, like some intro, fast, like with some nitro inside. Signature PDT production, designed for the highway. “Trancalona” even steps into some early techno vibe, as I see it, mixing it with, of course, trance. And, finally, the warmest track on the release – “Angel-A”. It could easily be imagined on the 90s MTV (btw, R.I.P., MTV) with some 3D graphics animation clip.
6 (!) tracks straight from the Mulen Records and Prince De Takicardie, can you believe it? Let’s only hope that the next release will be quicker. But now you can go to Juno, Deejay, or Decks and secure your copy. It won’t stay for a long time, you know it, right?
