The Ukraine native completes a slick three track EP from Brooklyn based artist J Gabriel with a driving remix. Taking a neat loop from the original, the tech house innovator injects his silky signature essence into the groove.
Mulen’s effortless charm is evident from the off. Loose hats bring energy to the tight loop, glistening over a slick drum sequence, casting a sense of space for a bed of lucid textures flowing loosely in the depths.
Building tension through short, snappy breaks, a neat bassline teases into the mix, rising in unison with a dreamy ray of stabs from J Gabriel’s original work. Each track offers a variance in flavours, with ‘Sunshine (This Time)’ flaunting sultry vocals in an intelligent arrangement, and ‘Sundrop One’ working a more after-hour tip.
