Argentinian DJ and producer AWSI is taking the lead for Purple Box‘s second imprint with ‘Derretido’ EP.
Managed by Pressology Distribution and Effetto Disclosure, we can confidently say that the label is on the right track. They featured Moscow artist Legit Trip earlier this summer for the first release of the label, before scouting new talents such as AWSI.
2020 has been an active year for the producer. So far, he released tracks on different Various on House.On.Wax, Sustain or Artefax Movement, came out with a first vinyl EP on Blind Vision Records, and finally puts his stamp on Purple Box. Derretido EP is a four-track piece that begins earnestly with a minimal Indus-oriented bassline, and ends up on aerial housey beats with ‘Sometimes I Don’t Feel’.
The B1 track ‘Jardwer’ is an electronic fresh piece between minimal rhythm and spacy house influence. The groove is first driven by a deep bold sound, time to get into the mood. Aerial echoing melodies take over, bouncing over the leaping bassline. The mix eventually leads to a stunning climax of epic proportions.
