It’s always great to have some reissues in this section. Partly, because it means that something from our wishlists at Discogs won’t gonna feed the sharks anymore. Partly because there will probably be some new remix we can pick for ourselves. Like today’s one – the legends Wolf n Flow and the future legend Oliver.r.
We’re talking about their “Messin’ With My Mind” track, which you probably know very well. I’ll just leave some words from the label here: “Messin’ was recorded in 2000 as one if the last productions recorded at the legendary Hopefield Farm studio where 20/20 Vision started and became a firm favourite with Mark Farina, Derrick Carter while the Electric Press remixes found a new home for the label’s output in the rising electro house scene of the early noughties fuelling dancefloors in London and Berlin alike.”
But the remix from 1/3 of Felon5, Oliver.r deserves its own words. In comparison with any of the original versions, this one is a more energetic and brighter piece. Closer to the remix by Electric Press than the original, it somehow carries that noughties feel and shares that with the vibe of 2025.
This one could be a great addition to your collection. If you won’t miss it at Juno, Deejay, Decks, or any other good record store.
