TCR., the label that gave us one of the biggest hits of 2023, is back and ready to strike again. This time, they’re dropping three more edits by unknown artists (yes, plural). While I can’t reveal their names, I can give you some hints. One track is by someone with past ties to the label, another by someone with no previous connection, and the last by someone directly involved in that banging EP from 2023. Intrigued? You should be.
Today, we’re featuring “Me Habló La TV,” an edit of Alaska Y Dinarama’s “Me Habló La Television.” Thanks to those pianos, it kicks off with a bright mood, then transitions into epic, lovely chords before the remastered magic of the original vocals kicks in. At 3:12, the crowd might just match the melody with their screams – so be ready for that!
Another A-side gem is “Out Of Mind,” an edit of Yello’s “Out Of Sight.” You know Yello, right? The “cheeck-ah, check-aaah” guys. This stripped-down tooly track has a top-notch groove with Dieter Meier’s magical voice subtly in the background. It’s perfect for afterparties but can damage the dancefloor, too.
The record closes with “Odios Y Traiciones,” an edit of Los Prisioneros’ “Estrechez De Corazón.” It starts with a kick and a background build-up, preparing us for what’s next. It’s one of those perfect end-of-set tracks. The vocals might seem a bit cheesy (that’s the point!), but if you end a serious set with this one – boy, oh boy…
I’ll be shocked if this one doesn’t repeat the success of TCR002, so head over to Juno, Deejay, or Phonica and secure your copy of this beauty.
