After their immense second release with Durrred and Nu Zau on May 2018, French imprint returns with a total banger. With the courtesy of Doubtingthomas and Diego Krause, Lille based vinyl-only label turns up the heat once again.
Berlin-based Frenchman Doubtingthomas and Beste Modus co-owner Diego Krause deliver their absolute craftsmanship once again for this 4-tracker EP. Opening up the front side, “Triangle” is a steady yet bouncy track that promises a wonderful breakdown.
For the second track of the front side and for our premiere, Krause revisits “Triangle” with a golden touch, making it an awesome peak-time weapon. Therefore, Krause’s Remix takes a more upfront, dancefloor driven approach. It’s also notable for Its clever drum work and meandering outlook, it’s a fitting, contrasting celebration to the original.
The flip side gets underway with “Drive”. It’s a flair-filled cut that features Riviere at his most classy. An intricate, smile-inducing jam that also supported and played by artists as Zip and Villalobos. Then this great wax ends up with “Wakarimasen”, a speedy synth-induced track that has unusual off-kilter field sounds.
