Lviv-based Yaroslav M kicks off the new series by Chat Noir, and let me tell you, it couldn’t get any better. If you’re a seasoned Trommel reader, you might recognize these tracks from his live sets for our Insession series. And we picked the juiciest cherry of them all.
“Hit It” is the record-opener with Yaroslav’s fresh signature tone, which I’d describe as mildly progressive. It’s reminiscent of Gene On Earth’s productions and is tailor-made for the dancefloors. Trust me, it’s already making waves in the sets of some heavy hitters in the scene, so you better jump on it quick.
But that’s only 25% of the record. “Champloo” delivers vibes that remind me of the best live house performances in Ukraine (should we call this the sounds of the nation then?). And then we dive a bit deeper with “Affairs,” keeping those progressive vibes alive and kicking. And last but not least, “Things Between” feels like a nod to all the listeners who’ve been with Yaroslav since his AC130 days.
