It’s finally happening! You knew Shakolin long ago from the Closer crew, maybe recently you also knew him from their (with Karine) Delirious party series at Panorama Bar. From now you will also know him as a record label owner. 3 originals and a remix from Random Factor.
Starting with “Web17”, one of the two “oldest” tracks on the release. This one was made in the pre-2022 era, in 2021. A solid roller, moderately deep, yet banging somehow. If you were at some Shakolin sets during these years, you could easily associate the sound.
“Destination” is another one from that Kyiv period. Definitely more trippy than A1, a bit more swinging one too. With its buzzing, it seems like the perfect one for this electro-house-filled 2025. “Enter Your Word” is a bit fresher one, don’t think you would really tell without the clue, but here you go—nicely marching drums, catchy melody, and some interesting take on a bleepy sound. Random Factor did the remix on this one, made it a bit more mellow and funky.
So, as I was told, the record is on a HUGE pre-sale hype, so don’t be surprised to find yourself at the Discogs section a bit later. If you want to avoid it, you’d better do some clicks on Juno, Decks, or Yoyaku. And expect more releases from the label soon, there are some nice plans.
