Dani Labb and Ali Demir join forces on a four-tracker EP for the second release of Distrakt Audio.
Ali Demir, who owns the Iceland-based record label, continues his musical journey by collaborating this time with Patagonian soul and Pryma Records co-owner. As he signs the flip side of the record with dancefloor hitters, Dani Labb opens up the EP on a much more deep and intense vibe.
‘Atemporal’ falls between airy sounds and deep intonations, all set to a groovy, driving beat. As he builds the track through signature drums and dystopic pads, the intensity reach its climax at a certain point in the stars, as the sound dwindles and gives way to darker tones. This track is an absolute club cut, waiting to take the dancers out into space.
The EP follows with a much more dark and meditative track, ‘Adori Vita Vis’, “perfect for that meditative, hazy, late morning mood,” says the label. Ali Demir follows on the B side with ‘Rewind the Mind’, an hypnotic bass jam, tightened with deeply atmospheric pads and sparkled with floating synth lines. Finally, ‘Trip to Andes’ offers a juicy sub bassline that propels the track forward and balances with dreamy melodic elements.
Ali Demir started Distrakt Audio with a first release collaborating with Furz. His idea behind the label is to collaborate with talented artists from across the globe to release their music on 12″ format alongside himself.
