For regular party goers in London, Unleash has always been a promotion that delivers the goods. The party launched in 2011 and has since had a successful series of events, which has seen the likes of Apollonia, Petre Inspirescu, Baby Ford, Ion Ludwig, Premiesku, Barac and many other artists from around the world on their line ups. Not only have their been some phenomenal raves in London, but the brand has also ventured out into Central Europe, spreading their energy in Berlin and Barcelona.
Seeing a successful brand like Unleash grow in leaps and strides is inspirational for any up and coming promoters. Gracing foreign territory, putting together strong line up’s whilst always involving their family artists Daylomar and Koko Bayern and working with an array of clubs that occupy big spaces doesn’t come with ease, however this team have worked out the formula needed to keep moving and growing, and this year they present us with something new, a record label.
The first release is a 3-tracker from Cesar Merveille, a Paris-born composer who needs no introduction. Cesar’s wealthy back catalogue includes releases on labels Cadenza and Visionquest, and of course the unforgettable records on his ‘Roche Madame‘ project under his C.S.R. alias, which he has used again for the debut release on Unleash Records. As always, Cesar has perfectly blended the sounds of microhouse and minimal, using scatty hat patterns, subby basslines and vast textures to paint a picture in each track, and we have the pleasure of premiering the first track of the EP, ‘Back’.
