New Berlin-based label Endless Rotation shape their debut release with Andy Catana & Daniel Kovac joining forces for a collaborative EP.
The fresh faced outfit gives away little away in its aesthetic, other than a quest to promote unique, minimalist and micro-house music.
Premiered ‘Kaskstar’ brings a bold start to the releases A1. Sounds are coated in a plethora of minuscule details. From textured, ghostly pads and vocals, to subtle openings of hi-hats, elements evolve in a controlled, satisfying manner forming an extended nine minute arrangement.
Honing this serene production style in both sound design and arrangement allows for intricate and often background sounds to radiate with great effect, like the crisp hi-hat change cutting through the mix just before the five minute mark.
‘Some Ekko’ explores deeper moods on the B-side. Ceremonial-like groans narrate a delicate mind trip, coated with the same low-slung, audiophile level of sound design bound to come alive on a club sound system.
Raum Music boss Dorian Paic concludes the EP with a sleazy remix. Throwing playful energy into ‘Some Ekko’ with a buoyant, uplifting bassline and a hypnotic stab sequence, the German artist showcases his decade spanning knowledge of the dance floor.
