Premiere: A1 – Alexander Skancke – Saga Of Subvision [QRK015]

Probably, every review of Alexander Skancke’s records should be like: “Alexander. Skancke. Quirk. Go buy it.” And that’s it. But it won’t be really fair to our readers, right?

So, it seems we have another gold at the Quirk Olympics with the sound of “Saga of Subvision”. The one from more bigroomy tracks by Alexander. Catchy melody, a few echoes to light the best moments. Even when you’re listening to this alone at home, you can feel the energy of the fully-packed dancefloor.

“Elephant Room”, quite contrary, even being almost as big, steps into Alexander’s spooky territory, my favorite type of Quirk tracks. Just like “Lost Ark”, that one with its suspense will be the perfect step to the peak-time part of any set. The final track on the release, another kinda signature thing for the label, this time those chants that usually turn any crowd into a very hazardous material. If you aren’t afraid of the fire on your dancefloor, you should pick “No Signal” then.

The record is on the edge of the sales start at any good record store. Check Juno, Deejay, hhv, or any other. Because, you know, Alexander. Skancke. Quirk. Go buy it.
