Trommel.223 – Reptant

There are many dangerous lizards to be found in Australia, but none are as tasty as Reptant. This multi disciplined artist is a highly prized name on the leftfield underground scene. With a duo of EP’s on Kalahari Oyster Cult, as well as standout releases on WARNING, the longstanding TRUST imprint, and a longplayer on his own LKR Records, it is easy to see why.

Understandably, festival season is a very busy time for Reptant, he already has locked slots incoming for Love International, KUNE Festival, Houghton, Unaharn Festival in Thailand, as well as slew of regular club business. This will see a range of performances from him which is split between his lauded DJ sets and unmissable live sets.

In true Reptant fashion, he kicks down the door of his mix for us with a barrage of succinct grooves, tight glitchy percussion and basslines so huge they defy gravity. Shifting through sub genres of bleepy techno and house like they are sliding doors, Reptant proves that he has more sounds in his locker than he has tour dates, and as we have already stated, that is a lot. Keep an eye on Reptant as he continues to make his way up through the underground.
