The Volks resident Denis Korablev was on our radar a long time before he presented us with an Xmas present in the form of the whirring ‘Vietrip’ that appeared on our trommelCARES VA. As well as hitting Russian staples such as Gazgolder, ARMA17, and Mutabor Denis can be found popping up all over the place.
It is the latter where we find Denis plying his trade. Recorded in August last year at the labyrinthine Mutabor for GATE’s 4th event that ran across 3 days. This 90-minute mix showcases the many sides of Denis Korbalev where he stitches together noisy minimal, blissed-out soundscapes, the odd curveball, and of course a few classics in the shape of Audio Werner’s ‘Trust’. That is as far as we are going to go with regards to spoiling your listening pleasure. You will just need to check it out yourself and imagine the post-industrial playground of Mutabor while listening to Trommel.111 from Denis Korablev.
