Owner and lynchpin of Berlin’s Elevate record store, Cinthie, has long cemented herself as a true house innovator. Her timeless, yet forward thinking approach to house music has propelled her in all manner of directions. From her first forays in the early 00’s, supporting EPs through the years, and clutch of supporting EPs for the likes of Beste Modus, Ground Service Records, and of course her own 803 Crystal Grooves. With a clutch of outstanding releases on Aus Music, it wasn’t long before Cithie was tapped for an LP from Will Saul and her “Skylines City Lights” longplayer was nothing short of her lauded.
It almost seems criminal that we have not featured Cinthie to date, but as the saying goes, “good things come to those that wait”, and her mix for our AlphaTheta series more than lives up to that billing. Leaving no stone unturned, Cinthie slowly unfurls each layer of her musical self as if walking through sunlight dappled woods one tree at a time. From deep, clipped Detroit house via Berlin, to more soulful Chicago stopovers, with a flick of the fader another side of Cinthie is revealed. Believe us when we say you won’t find a finer house mix this year…or next year.
