Petre Inspirescu’s release “Gradina Onirica,” which translates to “Dream Garden,” is the Romanian producer’s most imaginative attempt at blending house, minimal, and techno with traditional classical music — a genre that RA’s Todd L. Burns dubbed “classical house.”
The result of this musical intersection is a sound that demands effort from both the ear and feet, although it’s not always apparent which you should be using more. The composition includes everything from quirky synths to howling violins, minimal drums to obscure vocals, and some signature Inspirescu flute-ish sounds.
