German artist Fabe has always been something of a visionary, from his early career through his days as part of Mannheim collective BE9, the Salty Nuts boss is never at peace resting on his laurels. Having built a reputation as a prolific producer he has now pushed him to create an impressive live act that utilises Teenage Engineering’s new range of samplers. Not relying on the use of a laptop or computer which is the backbone of many live sets, Fabe is entering a new phase in his career and we are excited about what this will bring.
Utilising his bank of Teenage Engineering KO-lls to great effect, Fabe injects serious energy into “Different Approach” for our Free Download series and no mistaking. Well known for his peak time house style, Fabe works through the gears with ease and the belled synth gives more punch to proceedings while the fluted synth part shining some light in during the latter stages. The rapped vocal section gives a bit of a nod to Fabe’s hip hop roots, but this is a tech house banger with an outrageous vibe that cannot be denied.
