We continue to level up our Free Download series, and this week we have an outrageous pairing lined up for you. Two of London’s finest inhabitants, Anna Wall and Thomas Bulwer, hook up again to provide us with a face melter of a track. The two’s studio work goes back over a decade with their track “The Re-Up” garnering national attention as a result of a play from Saoirse on her Radio 1 radio show. Since then, Anna and Thoma have continued to thrive, with their work cropping up on a number of prolific labels as well as their own imprints, The Bricks and Parasole Culture, respectively.
Their track “Proximity Anxiety” is a melding of the two’s musical minds and their mutual love of bass. We find the pair in a dastardly electro mood and room-shaking rim shots provide the off-beat timing perfectly. As the track progresses, so too does the filtering synth and deep humming bassline. Make sure and keep your eyes and ears open for news of their next releases as there is much more heat in the works as we speak.
