Two of our scenes most enigmatic brands in Yoyaku and SlapFunk have helped to shape the landscape of Europe’s underground music culture. What each have accomplished since their inception is incredible, but now the two will join forces this month to produce a two venue adventure in Lisbon. The glue that will hold these two crews together will be Lisboa based team Lifestyling. Having been responsible for some of Lisbon’s most daring parties, they look to really set a new standard with this joint venture on Saturday, September 13th.
What would a day (and night) in Lisbon be without a trip to the beach, and we can confidently say that Costa de Caparica is one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in Portugal. Playing host to the day time session will be brand new beach front venue Mira Rio and with stunning views across the water to Lisbon where better to kick start the adventure. This will be no ordinary day at the beach. Representing each party will be an impressive spread of artists that will include Doudou MD, Jorge Caiado, Kyle Toole, and Straka b2b Joaquin Texeira. Running from 2pm until 10pm, there will be plenty opportunity to enjoy the sun and equally sizzling music before the night time session bursts into life.
Moving the action across the water to Lisbon for the night time session and the triple threat team will be taking over the Those Who Dance Warehouse. Another relative newcomer to the Lisbon venue community, but one that has already set their name up in lights. Having already welcomed the likes of Geigling to its arches, the stunning interconnecting warehouses that form part of 8Marvila is one of the most culturally important venues in Lisbon currently. With it being such a statutory space, only the finest artist will do to present their joint vision at this space. Taking the reins for the night section of this hedonistic tour of Lisboa will be Dana Kuehr b2b Karla Böhm, Ogazón, Samuel Deep b2b Brawther, and Satoshi Tomiie b2b Tomoki Tamura.
