We become UNUM once again with the announcement of players at the next year’s edition. You may have already noticed we are in regular attendance at the Albanian festival, which you might say has single handedly put the country’s electronic music scene on the map.
Last year was another memorable edition. We lapped up sun kissed grooves on the shores of Shengjin beach. We got lost in the heart of the forest Pines, under the spell of extended sets from a who’s who of minimal maestros. We basked in the highs that come with several days of non stop music.
As far as we know, much of the UNUM setup remains unchanged, with the festival taking place in similar fashion from 6th – 11th June. Already the stages are set to make the most of the outdoor haven that makes up the surroundings. And when something is already doing the bits as intended, there’s little reason to deviate.
Something else that follows suit is an impressive lineup featuring a bunch of UNUM festival favourites. The most notable names making up the mighty list include Romanian cohort Raresh, Rhadoo, Praslea, Priku and Arapu. Ladies on the scene are led up by Sonja Moonear, Doudou MD, Charlotte and Marlie, and a harder slice of techno comes from the likes of Dubfire and Anfisa Letyago.
Festival partners this year include usual suspects After Caposile, Animal Crossing, Secret Society, Slapfunk and Zone. Turning up the notch a little, Brazil club D-Edge brings a wealth of party starting experience to boot and Yoyaku have also been invited along for the occasion. This is a wide spanning bunch of promoters all suitably versed in making magic happen on the dance floor and beyond.
As usual the lineup is being released in two sittings and it’ll most likely be a couple of months before we hear more. We can however be pretty certain for a surprise or two up the sleeves of the promoters. In the meantime, we think this is a fine way to get the juices flowing.
