Resident artists of Untitled Musica are preparing to celebrate five years of the Portuguese platform. Badoga and Figueira have been at the core since the beginning. Between them, they have hosted an ever growing family of artists, arranging parties across multiple locations in Faro.
By day, by night, by water, by land.
As the community has grown, so has the vision. As Untitled events became a staple in the Portuguese city from which it was born, a seemingly natural progression led to the world of distribution and 2021 saw the start of the label.
No egos, just good music.
The vinyl only platform has on artist focus, with original releases. Proceedings began with RQZ, followed by Herck and most recently, ROOT (read our premiere from the ‘Sarab’ EP here). The flavour is centred distinctively around Romanian minimal, drawing from the inspiration across the other side of Europe.
Past bookings have mirrored the sound, having invited the likes of Arapu, Cally, Dubtil and Funk E. But it doesn’t stop there. A host of flavours and sounds have helmed the decks in the last half decade. Featuring collabs with Cabaret Goes Out, Curtea Veche, Hubble Recordings and SOLIS.
Celebrations for the 5th birthday are about to begin. Untitled Musica take over the A.R.C.M in Faro this Saturday, for all night long festivities.
French underground sensation Cabanne is invited on the headline, best known for his works on Yoyaku, Perlon and own label Minibar. Expect the sounds of minimal in full force, low slung grooves spattered with an injection of soulful sounds and jazz infusion. A royal selection, perfectly suited to marking the anniversary of the hosts.
The party starts at 9pm on Saturday and tickets can be found here.
