Tunisian festival Fabrika have turned quite a few heads in the music industry since their inception a few years back and rightly so. With a lineup heavily influenced by minimal and micro house and techno, they regularly draw upon the wealth of artists that are seen to be scene leaders. Catering for the burgeoning North African and Middle Eastern community the wider appeal for visitors from further afield is enticing. They are currently shaping up for their next installment, but in the process of building an enviable brand, Fabrika have also reached out across the seas and connected with a host of other brands that will, over the next few months, will see Fabrika step out of a festival setting and return to their clubbing roots.
For much of their OFF program Fabrika will be decamping to one of their favourite haunts in BSMNT The Club and the mid-sized club will be the perfect location to reconnect with their community. The first date in their diary will be Saturday, January 27th where they will be welcoming Discobar label head Lamache. By now, the Fabrika contingent and the wider Tunisian scene should be well acquainted with this Frenchman, but for those still unsure make sure to check his mix for us. We are certain this will be all the convincing you will need. Support will be provided by Me.di.
The next weekend will provide an even bigger prospect as on Saturday, February 2nd the Tunisian underground will play host to London stalwarts Half Baked. Part of HB’s 15th birthday celebrations there will be an expanded lineup for this special evening which will see Arapu headlining with Marlie following close behind. Support for this meeting of minds will come from Fabrika artists Amin, Belgaida, Lepri, MDDB, and Omar.
Keeping up the pressure will be a return to BSMNT with another lineup worth shouting about on Saturday, February 10th. Joining forces with Origo, Fabrika have yet another stellar night ahead with CDV resident Topper heading up proceedings with support from Vixe, Bersa, Formiq, and Min8. The next week there will be a change of scenery when Fabrika move to Lazy Club on Saturday, February 17th where they will be holding a Studio Session with Real Gang co-founder Miller on the dials all night long. Expect intimate scenes and tight grooves for the duration.
There will be a spot of downtime while the Fabrika shape up for the full power onslaught of Fabrika Festival between February 29th and March 3rd but they will be back on the road again. This time they will be heading over to London on Friday, March 15th for a Fabrika Showcase at one of London’s most lauded spots – Number 90. For this event Medi, Min8, and Malek will be providing the soundtrack in The Big Smoke.
April is already shaping up to be a massive month for the Fabrika and for the remaining shows of their Winter / Spring OFF program they will be returning to their beloved Tunisia. April 11th will see the BSMNT Garden spring into life and with the warmer months finally here there will be an all night long Studio Session with Chedy. The following night none other than Raresh will be taking pride of place on the Fabrika x BSMNT lineup and we all know how this special night will go down. Support will come via Fares A and Elise Jilan.
The penultimate event of the program on Saturday, April 25th will feature Ricardista and The Other Side label boss and generale muso legend Maher Daniel. He will be gifted the BSMNT Garden all night long in what is surely to be one of the events of the entire program. Completing a quite frankly jaw dropping run of parties will be a very special event indeed, but the details for this swan song of their program will remain a closely guarded secret until closer to the date of Friday, April 26th. Going by their previous events their last party that will take place at Club Gingembre will surely be one for the books.
You can grab tickets for both the Half Baked x Fabrika event and Fabrika Festival here.
