After a successful two editions on the beautiful coast of Ecuador, Trotamundo returns to the sun-soaked coast for round three. Five days of 24 hours of non-stop music by the beach, it’s a huge feast for the senses.
From January 8th to 12th, 2026, a huge curation will again unfold at the iconic Lost Beach Club in Montañita, the surfer’s paradise that’s become a pilgrimage point for dancers from across the globe.
Presented by Un_Mute, Ricardisas, Lost Beach Club and yours truly, Trommel, the second chapter promises another deep dive into today’s brimming music scene. This year’s line-up is filled with tasteful talent, uniting the global circuit centred around the genre-blurring edges of minimal, electro and all things vinyl.
All year round, Un_Mute regularly host the likes of Perlon showcases, devoted Romanian artists and see frequent appearances from Ricardo Villalobos. Trotamunda is a celebration of this network, curating a roster filled with legends and newcomers alike. You can expect a healthy amount of veterans in the likes of Mathew Jonson and Daniel Bell, as well as fresh contemporary selectors like Sibil and Vass.
Where to start with the line-up? Andrei Cuibic, Cap and Gojnea76 bring the unmistakable Romanian sound. Hypnotic, stripped-back and endlessly detailed, these three are respected globally for their unique and powerful perspective of minimal.
A run of live performances will showcase some of the most respected artists in the craft: Dandy Jack, Edward, Ion Ludwig, Mathew Jonson and Melchior Productions. Each a master of their own sonic universe with decades of experience playing live.
The experience continues with US legend Daniel Bell and the Telegraph label founder and taste-making DJ Cabanne. Many artists return to the festival including the inimitable Rhadoo, Desyn, Binh and DJ Koolt, all selectors who with a sonic signature that takes them to every corner of the globe.
Sibil, Mayell and Tau Car bring their own sophisticated touch on house and warm, rolling grooves which will be a wonderful fit for the seaside scnes. Check out the full line-up below and get a taste of the setup in this luscious set from O.Bee during last year’s edition.
Outside of the huge international curation, many artists both from the collective and local to Lost Beach Club will play across the week, creating the opportunity to discover new talent.
As ever, Lost Beach Club will serve as the festival’s beating heart. Regularly ranked among the top clubs in the world, it’s a rare place where nature and sound collide. Open-air dance enjoy a lush ocean breeze and the unmistakable Montañita spirit. From sunrise sessions on the sand to all-night marathons in the main room, Trotamundo 2026 promises an immersive journey for five days straight.
