2023 marks the 4th edition of Butik Festival, bringing a host of electronic flavours to the awe-inspiring Slovenian valley of Soča between 13-16 July. Last year’s edition saw sets from the likes Unai Trotti, DVS1 and Dr. Rubinstein amongst other top selectors, reinforced by a wealth of rising stars and Slovenian talent.
Confirmed artists heading into the valley this time boasts Detroit electro pioneer DJ Stingray 313, hot-shot Saoirse and Berghain’s JakoJako. With over 70 artists being welcomed, the lineup is set to impress across the electronic music spectrum.
The full lineup for this edition calls on the extensive talents of Mor Elian and Robert Dietz who will be bringing their high octane sets to the valley, not to mention an energetic live set from Kosh. French minimal house maestro Janeret is set to return this year alongside fellow countryman Lamache who will be making his Butik debut.
Committed crate-diggers The Ghost will be flexing their deepest digs as the pair delve into their collection to bring their usual heat. The two have developed quite the reputation as renowned party starters through exceptional and eclectic sets across the globe. Their grassroots are deeply connected to the new wave of artist shaping several landscapes in countless cities and they are repped by a range of cats living their best life. Well known faces of picnic’s Andy Luff, Mayell and Sibil who will play together, Alien Communications resident Loa Szala, Akaj, AR:TE, Kosta, Luckison member Tzena, dvidevat, Raketa and Vasko have all more than earned their spot at this year’s edition.
There will most assuredly be appearances from hitters Shonky, Sweely, Ryan Elliot, Doudou MD, Raphael Carrau, and Francesco Maddelena so it’s safe to say they’ve got it covered for the house heads. For those of a heavier persuasion, music from the likes of Byron Yeates, Ogazon, Roza Terenzi and Marie Montexier will be sure to keep you rocking! The diverse lineup is a definite selling point as Butik breaks the mold and strays from the expected bookings to bring new and interesting artists, creating a well-structured musical offering.
Butik’s commitment to creating four days of sensory paradise extends way beyond the ears as they look to the other senses, bringing art installations, local culinary goods and inside nature HQ set around the stunning backdrop of the Soča Valley. This sense of wonder is reinforced by their ethos on sustainability, awareness and building a community. It is truly a unique place for making lasting memories and connecting with likeminded individuals.
