Maltese mainstay Sunny Side Festival returns to the idyllic island for a third edition, as revellers are met by the stunning scenery as they rave the night away looking out to the beauty of the mediterranean sea, of course, soundtracked by some of electronic music’s finest.
Aside from the island’s beguiling natural beauty, ancient temples, impeccable cuisine, rich culture and traditional villages, Sunny side festival animates the coastlines with the finest sounds as they team up with internationally renowned crews to welcome over 30 artists to perform across the 3-day stint. Brining some of the most exciting acts from across the electronic music spectrum, with the lion’s share of flavours coming from the fields of house, techno, electro and breaks.
Following two successful festival editions and some sweet collaborative parties in between, 2026 is set to stun as they link up with some of the world’s most in demand promoters to deliver authentic offerings from artists and organisers alike. With most of their chosen stage partners needing little or no introduction, having been at the forefront of innovating the international scene as we know and love it today. This time rounds sees the addition of beachfront day parties that allow ravers to dance and swim under the Mediterranean sun, boat parties – I mean what’s not to love there! And also two new postcard-worthy locations are added to the ever-expanding goodness that is Sunny side festival.
This year is set to pack just as much heat as they partner up with Yoyaku, VBX, SlapFunk, Why Not?, Laundrette, Fantôme de Nuit, Love On The Rocks, trip Ibiza and Maltese gem, Big Ron’s Records to deliver some of the most hotly-tipped artists across several stages.
Previous editions have seen the likes of Christian AB, Mathew Jonson, Dungeon Meat, Hamish & Toby, Margaret Dygas, Magda, Sonja Moonear, Alexia Glensy and more descend upon the picturesque spot in the heart of the Mediterranean to rock the dancefloors right through to sunrise.
Phase One lineup is coming in hot as Sunny side share a select few artists, teasing in a taster of the plethora of top-notch artists descending upon Malta’s sunny shores. Among the announced, 2026 will see dynamic duo Tomas Station and O.Bee making an appearance, the return of Sunny side staples, hot shot selector of SlapFunk fame, Doudou MD, and Mathew Jonson back for another unmistakable live performance as he flexes his studio prowess. Dub techno and house legends respectively, Satoshi Tomiie and Garret David will be performing inimitable live sets, homing in on years of experience as pioneers of their sound.
Infallible DJ and producer Fumiya Tanaka has also been added to the bill, as he delivers dynamic sets that span house, techno, minimal and more, oozing class throughout. Minimal and tech-house heroes, tINI and Raresh and grace the decks over the course of the weekend, some seriously safe hands right there, with residencies and stellar appearances at some of the world’s finest spots, you do not wanna miss this lot! Spicing things up further, phase one also features Stranger’s alter ego, TAFKAMP, Laundrette’s Roi Perez, veteran spinner and notable contributor to the scene, Jen Cardini, fellow SlapFunkian Samuel Deep as well as Italian artist and one half of Data Memory Access, Gianmarco Orsini.
