Renowned for their dedication to the capital’s underground scene, Stump London is gearing up to present a weekend of genre-defying sounds across two of London’s iconic venues: The Steel Yard and FOLD. The November event promises to capture the eclectic spirit that Stump has honed over years of carefully curated line-ups, blending veteran artists with fresh faces.
The collective has long been connected to the Romanian scene and the need for great sound systems to present this strain of club music. For over eight years, they have been regularly inviting the likes of Raresh, Cezar, Barac, and Petre Inspirescu to the city, always for extended sets with top sound.
On Saturday, 16 November, The Steel Yard will act as the first leg in this mighty journey and will be transformed into a dual-room indulgence for stripped-back sounds. The main room will see a melding of styles and sounds that will be delivered by the eye popping array of guests that Stump have drafted in.
The next stage will be a mouth watering day time Sunday session at none other than FOLD. With the party rolling over to the industrial hotspot there is a high chance that magic will be dripping from every bare steel beam in sight.
Across the two venues you will be able to catch Romanian royalty Mihigh and Suciu who bring their deep flairs to the floor with hypnotic, other-worldly sounds. Also on the roster is the ever-evolving Margaret Dygas, whose sets are known for their rich atmospheres and depth.
Live sets from Audio Werner and Versalife add an element of raw, hardware-fuelled energy, showcasing the artistry behind electronic music production. Adding to the journey’s dynamic feel, caLLy, Kearun, Thierry, and Chrissy Hope will each bring their unique takes on minimalist dance music.
In Room 2 of The Steel Yard, fans of bass-heavy beats and dub-inspired sounds are in for a treat. Stump aims to add thoughtful diversity to the evening with a line-up led by dubstep/d&b pioneer J:Kenzo for his distinctive approach to low-frequency sounds. Supporting acts Breakfake, Immerse, and TZA will further explore the genre’s potential, weaving a rich soundscape of basslines and intricate rhythms that offer some variety from the main room.
Completing the package will be the undeniable talents of visual wizard Cotė, and if you have been to any of STUMP’s events or caught a glimpse of the post party action you will know just how centric visuals are. The Romainian’s work cannot be understated as the trip inducing atmospheres that bathe the rooms he works in adds more than just another element to the party.
Steel Yard will run from 11pm through to 6am, before moving to FOLD at 7am and ticking on til 3pm.
