Sigh Club in Madrid turns five with month long program

Madrid based party Sigh Club has been welcoming the very finest in underground talent to their home club of Cadavra for the last five years and they have an especially exciting month to celebrate the occasion. With their season opener with Cartullis hotshots Unai Trotti and Raphael Carrau coming just last month it is clear that their quality control is of the utmost.

Their weekly presentation of the best that Europe has to offer has until now delivered on this promise, however their October program is on a different level. Having already kicked off last week in earnest with a Tresydos showcase headed up by club resident Mari.te. Constantly found at the dials of the finest DJ booths around the world her high calibre digging is coupled with the quality of her own output as well as that of her imprint. She will be joined by UK artist Kyle Tool and Portuguese duo Elless & Benn.

This coming week on Friday, October 14th Sigh Club will welcome a veritable legend in the form of Onur Özer. The superhuman Turkish selector and Time Passages artist is well known for pitch black bass heavy bombs and there are few artists that fit the bill for this special party than Onur. Warming the floor for his arrival will be Sigh Club regular DonRafael while the Lounge will be bossed all night long by DJ F.

The following week on Friday, October 21st and Sigh Club will again be hooking up with Medina Sound. Having not stopped off in Madrid for some time eccentric artist DJ Tree will be laying down the headline set at the third 5th birthday edition. Providing the warmup grooves will be Cesc and Däne, while The Lounge will be handed over to the widely-respected Kimchi Records crew.

Completing the month like it has progressed each and every Friday Sigh Club will be hosting a live set from electro master Keith Tenniswood aka Radioactive Man. His productions can only be described as seminal and his work alongside Andrew Weatherall as Two Lone Swordmen and in solo mode have influenced generations of artists and continues to do so. As well as his production output his live sets are incredible and after Etienne hardware jam at the club previously the bar is high but we have a sneaky suspicion Tenniswood is up to the task. Also on the bill for this last birthday session will be Álamo and Avo, residents and young selectors of the capital and Betamax, from Trama Club.
