After the hard-fought situation that has lead to the spring edition of Sunwaves Festival sadly being postponed and the focus being shifted to the epic marathon summer edition the pandemic has now claimed another scalp. SW28 was originally slated to be taking place at their usual home of Aza Beach between Thursday, September 3rd, and Tuesday, September 8th and with this date looming large on the horizon the Sunwaves team has been trying their very hardest to make the near-impossible happen. With the ever-expanding effects of COVID-19 having such a huge impact on large scale events around the world, it was always going to be a push for Sunwaves Festival to take place this year.
Announced via the SW27 + SW28 event page the crew behind the long-running festival made delivered the somber news but remained upbeat in the face of the sad situation the Sunwaves team confirmed that they would be skipping 2020 but vowed to return in 2021 and we are sure they will deliver on their promise of bringing back the magic with 2 outstanding editions. Sunwaves have already confirmed that their spring edition SW29 will take place between Thursday, April 29th, and Tuesday, May 4th, and SW30 will again be taking place early September.
