Taking place at East London’s Number90 Hideout on Saturday, May 25th, Ritmo London will join forces with fellow London outfit Sonder.
With both parties being major players in the London scene each team brings a special set of skills required to make a party pop. Ritmo are well versed in the art of the day party, over the years have hosted many artists at their sunlit shindigs as well as nighttime manoeuvers that includes them previously starring at the monstrous Beams venue.
Their partner for this day to night adventure is fellow London crew Sonder. Also a bit of a specialist when it comes to throwing day time parties, their regular stints at Star Lane Pizza Bar are just the latest in a long line of events that stretches back more than six years. In that time there has been a hell of a lot of good times, but we can confirm that there is much more on the way with their upcoming joint party with Ritmo.
For a start, there is the location of this meeting of minds. Number90 in Hackney Wick has long been the center of much of the most talked about parties in the Capital and with a recent fit out and reboot this is not changing anytime soon. The party will be taking place at the Hideout section of the complex and will provide the perfect backdrop to this excellent party.
Taking charge of the music will be a finely tuned team of artists with a penchant for bass and riddims of the highest caliber. Firstly, and perhaps the most prominent is a rare London appearance from SlapFunk founder Samuel Deep. His imprint and party series has become one of the world’s most respected names in the underground world of house and techno. His love of breaks and garage is only second to his love of wax and his record bag always turns up new school bangers as well as gems from years gone by. Joining him will be Ba Dum Tish mainman Alec Falconer and we all know just what this man is capable of behind the decks.
Also on the bill is rising talent Jorg Kuning, his live shows bristle with creativity and mastery of his assembled hardware that all but ignore the impact his music has on any dancefloor. Completing the lineup will be the talents of local selectors Fae and Bezar proving that this is one party not to be missed.
