Regulars at fabric will know just how special a set from Ricardo Villalobos in Room 1 is and with his recent b2b with Raresh at Vietnam’s Epizode festival still lighting up the minimal community and their social media feed its time for the London hotspot to welcome the Chilean maestro once again. Marking his first appearance at the Farringdon club of 2020 the party in question on Saturday, January 25th Ricardo will not be the only music legend featuring.
Joining Villalobos in Room 1 will be the ever-present and downright influential Craig Richards. Having been steering the good ship fabric since the beginning his connection to Ricardo in the booth is nothing short of magical. His night Collisions builds on this connection with various artists where he handpicks artist who share this same affinity for music as he does. Completing the musical journey in Room 1 will be Irish selector Saoirse The depth and caliber of her record bag is evident from her various well-subscribed radio shows on the likes of Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1 so expect a ride full of twists and turns.
Heading up Room 2 is Detroit’s electro, not electro kingpin DJ Stingray. With much more than this one genre in his bag, the masked Drexciya member cuts a laser-guided swathe through many sounds and barely bats an eyelid as long as it blows up the party. This broken, bass-heavy sound will be added to by 2 more names that have been intrinsically connected to fabric for the longest time. First is Radioactive Man who will be performing live and with material such as his recent ‘Doors To Manual’ compilation in his locker, the machine-driven funk will ensure not a dry body in the house. Rounding up this sterling party will be none other than Adam Shelton performing under his A-Future alias. With his work with One Records safely recognized as being a cornerstone in house music, his A-Future moniker is projecting in a different direction altogether – into deep space.
