As part of the much-anticipated MOGA Festival taking place between October 3-5, Reload stage emerges as a highlight of the electronic program, bringing together genre-defying artists and pioneers for three days of cutting-edge performances.
The lineup for Reload is compact but loaded. Confirmed names include Daniel Bell, a seminal figure in minimal techno whose career spans from the early ’90s via his DBX alias. Known for stripped-back grooves, textured atmospherics, and lasting influence in the underground, Bell will carry the Reload stage’s set into deep, meditative territory.
Joining him are Steve O’Sullivan and Thomas Melchior, two equally renowned artists in the electronic music landscape. Steve, a master of dub-infused grooves, and Melchior, whose hypnotic rhythms have defined countless late-night sessions, will each bring their own distinctive touch. The rarity of seeing the three of them share the same stage in the same night makes this year’s Reload an unmissable occasion for connoisseurs of the sound.
Local and regional acts such as Kosh (212), a Casablanca-based producer and live-act who runs the Convergence label, will also make a notable appearance at the event. Kosh represents Morocco’s own experimental edge, merging local influences with international electronic currents. From there, the stage widens further with Cabanne, a French key figure with decades of influence in house and minimal scenes, and Miroloja, the French duo known for their intricate, groove-driven sets. Their presence reinforces Reload’s programming and its reputation for quality and depth.
Other artists on the Reload roster include Nathabes, Holly Molly, Anzar, Deatra, and Liver J. Each contributes to the stage’s diversity, ranging from seasoned selectors to rising talents, and together they strengthen Reload’s identity as a hub for refined, underground sounds.
Reload’s scheduling within MOGA Festival means it’s more than just another stage; it’s a curated space where electronic music’s lineage and future meet in Essaouira’s evocative setting: wind-blown ocean air, ancient medina walls, and the open skies of Morocco.
As a bonus addition, in the days leading up to the festival, Reload will set the tone with two warm-up takeover nights at Le Pallazo on October 1 and 2. These intimate sessions bring together some of the scene’s most refined selectors, including Cosmjn, Lizz, Gescu, Vasco Valente, and Bobby B., offering festival goers an early immersion into the deep grooves that will later unfold on the shores of Essaouira.
