Paradise City Festival returns with several enhancements for their 2023 edition

Paradise City Festival has grown into a Belgium staple for innovative electronic music from a variety of worlds. Entering its eighth edition, the festival merges the likes of Berlin’s underground digging community and massive live acts like Maribou State as well as Dixon and more.

It’s an opportunity to find new artists and experience them in a unique, regal setting. Artists will play in the stunning grounds of a historic castle surrounded by water. The festival is driven to improve and streamline the festival after this year’s successful return and advise we can expect more artists, new stage designs and even greater sustainability efforts.

Earlier this year, the collective received an ‘Outstanding’ certification from A Greener Festival, a non-profit that helps events reduce festival’s environmental impact. Their rating recognises a status as the greenest music festival in Belgium, implementing sustainable measures wherever possible.

The festival will take over the stunning grounds of Ribaucourt Castle on the 30th June – 2nd July 2023. Five stages spread across the breath-taking nature around a historic castle nestled in the centre. This year’s lineup is yet to be announced, although looking at the festival’s esteemed history, they are not shy on making interesting and diverse bookings in their mammoth curations.

The festival have announced a few changes for 2023’s edition. The festival site will increase in size by 20%, allowing for more space to dance and navigate the grounds, both in the stages and camp sites.

There is also a new sixth stage been added, providing an intimate space to provide an alternate vibe musically. Their arena stage will also exclusively showcase live acts, offering an amazing opportunity to discover new music, styles and expressions in the unique festival environment.

You can expect many heavyweights from different musical genres laying down in the woods or slamming the bigger stages.

Several Trommel favourites have featured over the years, with 2022 edition presenting an intriguing back-to-back set from Sonja Moonear and Edward, as well as sets from Quest & Christian AB. To broaden the musical horizons of the festival, their live stage featured bigger artists like Maribou State which is bound to be spectacular against the beautiful Belgian backdrop.
