Born out of passion, Omana sees the forging of 3 crews of dedicated, committed promoters and festival organisers for a grand curation across the festival’s 4-day duration. Danube, Home Again and lsz – lovesexandzodiacs join forces to bring some of electronic music’s finest to the beautiful and uninhabited island of Obonjan in Croatia. The proximity and abundance of water makes for at least 2 things, rejuvenating sea swims and of course… boat parties!
The private island boasts glamping, fine-dining, enchanting beaches, and a unique setting in Dalmatia on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea. Tapping into this surreal location, Omana fuses cutting-edge art, natural beauty, and a tasteful curation of music to offer a well-considered festival experience, forging memories that are sure to last.
No strangers to throwing a festival, it comes as no surprise that Berlin-based crew, Danube, have committed to delivering even more top-tier moments. With the successes of their Danube festival year in year out, they have quickly made a name for themselves as serious curators, and festival hosts as editions have seen a plethora of minimal’s most exciting artists playing under the planes at Kiekebusch See, all across Berlin and collaborations with Club Guesthouse in Bucharest. Danube are also renowned for making efforts in terms of awareness, diversity, and inclusion, prioritising the well-being and safety of guests, artists, and staff, with a dedicated awareness team to ensure it is a safe space for all in attendance.
With that in mind it’s unsurprising that they decided to team up with fellow Berlin treasures Home Again who’ve welcomed a mighty selection of artists to their Home Again festival held at the inimitable RSO.Berlin, with a mammoth 65-hour edition last year, they’ve upped stakes this year as they head towards 100 hours of nonstop music across the 5-day duration. Caring and considerate promoters that they are, much like Danube, they want attendees to have the best possible time and put efforts in place to ensure this, for example, allocated arrival time slots to avoid queueing, an ingenious idea, so simple yet so effective!
Last but not least lsz – lovesexandzodiacs are welcomed to the fold, a relatively newly conceived project that covers all fronts, taking shape in the form of events, a record label and booking agency. Founded in 2023, lsz brings contemporary echoes from the golden era of rave for a new iteration as they combine its spirit with possibilities of modern technology, delivering wholly stimulating experiences combining art and custom sound reinforcement.
With the 1st wave of artists landing on Obonjan just announced it looks like the ears are in for quite the treat, from classic names to rising stars they are set to feature all things good. With 35 artists appearing over the 5-day affair, the 800 festivalgoers are set to experience intimate and unforgettable sets across the 4 stages as Omana Festival sets sail for its maiden voyage on the 13th of June. With the first wave featuring Anthea, Shonky, DJ W!LD, Christopher Lawrenz, Foehn & Jerome, Ogazón and more, we’re excited to hear sets from the full first wave as well as the rest of the lineup T.B.A.

While the idea of a festival set on a private island in a veritable oasis paints a picture of paradise, it may also instil a sense of dread and daunting with regards to making the journey to such a location. Well, with the nearby city of Šibenik being accessible by airplane, car, or even boat, it makes getting to the first port of call to Obonjan nice and easy. From Šibenik a ferry runs to Obonjan every 2 hours from 10am, with a return trip costing 30 euros or alternatively private taxi boats operate on request.
If this still feels like a lot of travelling for you, then be sure to unwind upon arrival, with Omana keeping things nice and limber throughout with the provision of wellness workshops and activities, from yoga to massage, to Kundalini activation there is something for everyone to enjoy.
