Mōtŭs delivers debut release, made exclusively from Italian artists

Italy’s electronic scene has always been a strong one and has produced some of house and techno’s brightest stars. It is this pride and trust in its home scene that has spurred the founders of Mōtŭs to realize their vision of running a label where only Italian artists would provide each release.

Their journey begins with a 15 track VA where up and coming artists rub shoulders with established artists who are already well known in the world circuit. From the first track, old head Cesare Vs Disorder’s ‘Explosive S’ propel the release in an upbeat manner, Dorothy’s Dream provides a gnarled yet lush take on stripped minimalism on ‘Aphrodites Child’, Lorenzo Chiabotti’s ‘Voices From Neon’ offers a more melodic and forlorn direction and Viceversa adds a bit of seasoned class from outer space via ‘VvvIII’. Elsewhere on the release Togue, Simone Adinolfi and Triptease all shine on this stunning introduction to Mōtŭs and with vinyl-only release in the pipeline this promises to be a label to watch out for.

You can get your hands on the VA via Bandcamp and the snippets are on Soundcloud.
