Bandcamp continues to cement itself as the preferred format for independent artists and Luc Ringeisen has announced he will be using the platform to present his exciting dubplate project.
The ‘A La Carte’ project is an interesting one and in an unprecedented move Luc’s 3 ‘Unreleased Archives’ Eps each featuring 5 tracks but instead of the tracklisting being chosen by the artist or label it will be possible for you the buyer to choose what tracks will feature on your own personalised dubplate. To give even more freedom of choice it will be possible to choose from each of the 3 ‘Unreleased Archive’ Eps.
For this special project, Luc has been delving into his vast track archives and will feature 100% unreleased music, secret weapons as well as brand-new music. As with all vinyl releases, there are some restrictions and it all centers around sound quality and space on each side of the record. So, once you have cherry-picked which tracks you would like to go on your dubplate it is important to note that each side should not exceed 2 tracks as long as each of the tracks on that side does not exceed 6 minutes 20 seconds. Luc has advised that for the best sonic results he recommends that only one track per side is chosen.
As well as the tracks being produced with vinyl in mind they will also be available to buy collectively and singularly in a range of lossless formats via Bandcamp. Luc will be adding to this collection in the next few weeks with ‘dubplate only’ tracks but at present, there is a total of 15 tracks to choose from. With the collection of music spanning a number of underground motifs from the last 2 decades, you will get a truly unique release from the Club der Visionaere resident.
