Leeds’ Distrikt venue welcome an array of underground talent for Q1

Distrikt Leeds has long been a cornerstone of Leeds’ underground scene, offering an unparalleled space where world-class DJs and local talent collide in an intimate, high-energy setting. The bar’s free-entry policy and expertly curated lineups ensure that it remains a vital hub for music lovers, and the first quarter of 2025 is no exception. With an electrifying series of events lined up, Distrikt continues to bring fresh sounds to the city.

Kicking off the Q1 calendar, on February 8th, Distrikt welcomes Madvilla, the California-born but London-based tech-house maestro, alongside rising talent Pach. Expect a night filled with deep, groovy basslines and cutting-edge selections as the duo takes over the decks for an extended session from 16:00 to 02:00.

As March begins, one of Leeds’ most revered nights, Mugpie, makes a triumphant return on March 1st in a collaboration with Manchester party Persona. Master of the dark arts, Nicolas Lutz returns with his signature mind-warping selections. Joining him is the enigmatic UK selector Kyle Toole, along with support from Louie G and long-time residents Ryan Ingleby and Ethan McNamara. For those who revel in deep, hypnotic rhythms and obscure cuts, this night is pretty unmissable.

On March 21st, a collaborative showcase unites Late Night Essentials, Decisive Sounds, and Kooky Ken, promising a night of sonic exploration. This edition features Cartulis boss Unai Trotti, known for his impeccable curation and adventurous sets, alongside Uruguayan legend Omar. Supporting the bill are local talents A.L.C & BP from Pic ‘n’ Mix and Curbside, ensuring the energy stays high from start to finish.

March 29th continues the top-tier programming with Christopher Ledger, a tastemaker whose productions and DJ sets blend intricate minimalism with deep, emotive soundscapes. His presence at Distrikt is a testament to the venue’s dedication to bringing forward-thinking artists to the city.

Beyond these marquee events, Q1 also sees the likes of Ray Mono, as well as an unmissable back-to-back set from Liquid Earth and Mari.Te. Fans of techno will also have plenty to look forward to, as Joy Techno brings in veteran selector The Advent for a night of pure, unrelenting energy. Additionally, Dou Dou MD is set to deliver a set full of her signature off-kilter rhythms and slick sounds.

With such a stacked calendar, Distrikt once again proves why it remains one of the most cherished venues in Leeds. Whether you’re a seasoned raver or just dipping your toes into the underground, Q1 at Distrikt offers something for everyone. As always, entry is free – a rare gem in today’s clubbing landscape.
