Quite the collaboration is taking over London club E1 this coming Easter. Half Baked, one of London’s most popular underground event promoters, are joining forces with one of Europe’s hottest festivals on the circuit. Albania’s UNUM are invited, bringing a taste of the Shegjin shores to the UK capital. Together, this makes for good company. Of course, that makes for an even better lineup.
Closing the Easter weekend, it’s the final night for festivities before the bank holiday bonanza comes to a close. As much as it marks an excitable Half Baked return to the Wapping venue, it’s a first for UNUM. This is just the start of great things from the musical partnership. We recently announced completed plans the for the festival, where Half Baked will be taking on their own stage. Who better therefore, to host UNUM’s London leg of their pre-party celebrations.
Split across two rooms, the Warehouse will welcome Mathew Jonson with his superbly unique live set. A master in his craft, the Cobblestone Jazz artist has been widely known for his slick, gritty melodies. An ever changing blend of his much loved productions sounds fresh for every performance. Gene On Earth makes his own debut for the Half Baked brand, alongside the frequent face of Voigtmann and label frontman Robin Ordell.
Fumiya Tanaka heads up proceedings over in the Black Studio, with an assumed arsenal of wax weaponry. A firm fixture of the Perlon family, sporting a keen ear for groove-fuelled, minimalistic basslines. Melody sits next on the roster, alongside UNUM residents Alban Hi-Dini b2b Rrrron.
This is no doubt a top pick for Sunday shenanigans this Easter. Tickets can be purchased here, already at second release (so get ’em quick).
